The Canadian Cycling Association is a National Sport Organization whose main reason for being is the organization and promotion of cycling in Canada. The activities of the Association are carried out within the constraints of sound business practices with regard to the ethics required of professional staff and to the spirit in which its volunteers function. 
Lisa Jaffary is the event’s founder. Having participated in a number of organized cycling events throughout the North West, Lisa was inspired to create a new cycling venue right here in the Okanagan to help share her enthusiasm for cycling with others. As chairperson, Lisa remains the driving force behind OSCR's continued popularity.
The Okanagan-Shuswap Century Ride is a fun, recreational event for cyclists of all abilities. Riders from 8 to 80-years-old have participated in this wonderful sightseeing extravaganza and it’s something the whole family can enjoy.

Tuesday April 9, 2013 - It’s time to ride! May is Shuswap Bicycle Month and the perfect time to be outside. Bicycle Month is a celebration of human powered transportation, calling attention to the joys and benefits of cycling for young and old alike.
