About

The newest park trail system in Salmon Arm, built by the City in partnership with the Shuswap Trail Alliance. These trails were formally started when the new memorial cemetery development closed off a popular area for walking old trails established when the area was owned by the Department of Defence. You still see the occasional trail marker reminding of those days. But now the area is part of the City parks system, and features a lovely little pond hidden within the forest. The first trail connector was built in 2016. Another loop was added in 2017 to keep expanding the trail system. And further additions have been planned.

Huge thanks to a load of incredible student volunteers who have helped to build this trail, along with City of Salmon Arm support. The little trail system is slowing growing into another beautiful destination trail park. Watch for more to come in 2019!
